Derived from the Gew├╝rztraminer grape, Traminette was bred in 1965 through the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station at Cornell University. Although similar in flavor and bouquet to its Gew├╝rztraminer parent, Traminette is more resistant to disease and hardier during bouts of inclement weather. This Traminette was produced exclusively with high quality Virginian Traminette grapes.
